Engineering Focus

What should be confirmed before a trial

Product performance is evaluated together with the resin, equipment, process, part structure and customer test method.

Gel and speck control under agreed inspection conditions
Film-layer position
Filter and equipment cleanliness
Color uniformity at the target film thickness
Opening, slip and tack balance
Extrusion stability and die build-up

Common project problems

Gels, color specks or visible particles

Uneven color or matte appearance

Film blocking or difficult unwinding

Tack, slip and opening functions conflict

Melt fracture or die build-up

Claim boundary: The website does not make an absolute zero-gel, permanent anti-fog or universal-film claim. Results depend on materials, filtration, equipment, layer structure and test method.

Inquiry & Validation

Information to provide and records to keep

A useful inquiry does not require the customer's confidential formulation. Basic application information is enough to define the first test.

Useful inquiry inputs

  • Resin and film-layer structure
  • Blown, cast or co-extrusion process
  • Film thickness and addition layer
  • Filter mesh and equipment conditions
  • Defect sample and inspection method
  • Target color and functional test

Suggested validation records

  • Agree on inspected area and allowable defect level
  • Record resin, filter, dosage, speed and film thickness
  • Check the correct layer for anti-block, tack or slip
  • Evaluate film surface and converting performance

FAQ

Questions buyers often ask

These answers define the first discussion. Final suitability is confirmed by model, sample and test conditions.

Do low-gel color masterbatches eliminate every visible defect?

No. Film defects may also come from raw-material contamination, previous production residue, filtration, equipment cleanliness and processing conditions. The inspection area and defect rule must be agreed.

Are anti-block and slip the same function?

No. They may influence different surface and handling properties. The film layer, coefficient-of-friction target, transparency and downstream coating or printing requirements should be confirmed.

What should be provided for a protective-film project?

Provide the resin system, layer structure, film thickness, equipment, filter condition, current formulation, defect sample and the customer's test method.
